Please note: this show is now SOLD OUT.
Following The Lindisfarne Story's sell-out gig at last year's inaugural Holy Island Festival, the committee have invited Billy Mitchell and Ray Laidlaw back to perform a very special show at 2016's event.
On Saturday 25th June, Billy and Ray will be bringing The Lindisfarne Story Band to play the first concert at the newly-refurbished Holy Island village hall... the building where the group rehearsed in the early seventies!
This very special concert will feature a performance in full of the group's chart-topping 'Fog on the Tyne' album, plus a host of other classic Lindisfarne songs, including Run For Home.
Ray Laidlaw commented, 'Our links with the Holy Island of Lindisfarne go way back to before the group was even thought of. It's always a delight to return there and we're chuffed to bits that we will be the first group to play in the new hall. Last year's festival show was a cracker and this one should be even better.'
The band also features Billy's son Tom Mitchell, who will open the show with a solo set.
